Boogie Nights DM finally completed...

Post by Legbat » Mon Mar 20, 2006 7:07 pm

I've been working on this map for several months and finally have it where I want it to be - in my completed projects stack. (The unfinished map pile was getting high) I'm running it on my server if you want to check it out. Link to map download page below:

Feedback welcome! :D

Excellent work buddy :thumb:

I found one tiny bug, but I've experienced this in other nolf1 maps as well..
parts or the red car is nonsolid.

Btw! I spot some firehouse fury effects here

Yeah that's weird. Don't know why it's that way. It's a prop - not something I built out of brushes. Oh well, it actually makes for a great hiding spot! I nailed someone (I think BlackRain) the other night while inside the car! He didn't notice me until it was too late! Also found out that you can jump over the fencing at the loading dock. I thought I had the fence brush tall enough but JasonLives discovered otherwise. :bonk: There are several other potential ambush spots - those two, from inside a trash can or stall in the restrooms, a highrise entrance cubbyhole or from the top of the neon sign above the main entrance.

P.S. Thanks for helping out with the testing run BTW! :D

Very nice map and cool atmosphere ... would have liked some BeeGee music in there but oh well ...

Kinda got me thinking about making another NOLF1 map myself ... (very inspiring work!)

Yeah they're up there on my list too! I've got their two-disk greatest hits CD and I've also got Saturday Night Fever on DVD! lol

Thank you! I'm glad I could inspire you! I thought you had uninstalled NOLF long ago so I didn't inquire about you helping to test it. :( My bad...

I forgot to add one thing, since this map is called "Boogie Nights", where is Rollergirl? :P

Thanks, Fats! :D As Spawn said - Long time, no see! Glad to see you're still checking in every once in a while. What ya been up to editing-wise?

P.S. She would have been a very nice addition indeed but I decided to restrict her to my hard drive! lol

Thanks! I've been working on some NOLF 1 maps ever since I finished my CoD map. I actually should have been finished a long time ago but I've had quite a few interruptions. The latest of which was a format/reinstall of Winblows I had to do a couple of days ago.

Hey that's GREAT to hear - Can you divulge details of your upcoming release(s)? If you need/want some people to help you with testing, just let me know. It's still the only game I play online when, on those rare occasions, I place playing over editing. :o It's a good thing you saved your work on some sort of removable media considering you had to reinstall windows. That's something I'm a stickler about. I don't take any chances. ;)

Don't want to give out too many details yet. When I'm finished there'll be four new maps-three DM and one AM. Two of the maps are about 85% done, one is about 45% done, and I've yet to start on the last one.
