Problem brushes

Locating problem brushes

You have been working for hours, building the most epic creation of all time.. Your last beer is gone, hours ago.. You should have been in bed really. Just...need...to...process...

Everything process just fine and when you run the level (if it runs) you'll see a weird brush poking out somewhere it definatly shouldn't be.

Yep, you may have a "Problem brush" carefully hidden away somewhere in your map.

Locating it the hard way

When scrolling back in your processor log this appears:

Well, you got the coordinates to where this brush starts atleast: 64.0 0.0 56.0
So after a lot of thinking, trying to make sense of these coordinates. By now you also got that expired beer that you didn't really like from the fridge as well.. You found the coordinate that the processor was complaining about and put the green marker in it..

You select the 1 sided polygon to quickly figure out that this time you just forgot to set NoSnap to true..

A lot of work because of a small mistake

The easy way

"But seriously, there must be a better way to find these?" you ask

Ofcourse there is, just open up your processor window:

Go to the 'Extra Parameters' line and add -selectproblembrushes

When you process this time, the processor will halt and show problem brushes found.

Hit ok, and reopen NOLF.DEP

Tada, all the problem brushes will be selected :thumb:

To process the whole map, you'll need to remove the -selectproblembrushes parameter again.
