In fact, there was a serious question I wanted to ask my American friends: how expensive are computers in the US? I mean, many people seem to play on "quite old" systems, and I have the feeling that hardcore gamer computers cost a darn lot there. Am I right?
NOTE -I don't know if it'll help a lot to compare, but here (in France), you can easily find very good computers that'll run NOLF2, CJ, or even HL2, with a 17" LCD, for something like ? 800-900 (approx. $ 1 000). If you're not interested in top-perfect-realistic-brand-new-games (HL2, Doom3, Far Cry, you know...), then ? 600 is far enough to NOLF, complete with LCD monitor.
