So i would be happy to tell that. COTY is "THE" lithtec guy. He was a driven force in the tutrials making, and still is. (He had a big role on avp2, and released 1 map called stranded or something like that, wich become pretty known)
He still post on avp2mods, but this is mostley about model (He is the first guy who replaced the door object with a animated prop (moving world geomtry will make lag in mp))

Hail coty! Eventurly a game often gets mroe interesting to mod then playing, thats what happened to COTY, Acid glow, Psykore and so on..

Yea, I'm currently making some new avp2 weapons for a friend of mine.

I like the game alot. But I HATE mapping for it. Besides the old DEdit format, it's really hard to make a good map for the three species. You have to consider aliens walking on walls and getting out of the map, the pounce jump, different sizes of the spices, and the different vision modes. Like if I want to make rain on terrain, I have to make the water puddles high enough to decloak the pred, but low enough so the alien don't get the h2O bubbles. On terrain, thats a pain. I give up. But I really need to finish that map (Jyhad).
