Spaceotters - Beta

Post by Spawn » Mon Mar 06, 2006 9:53 pm

The result of a boring weekend (some time ago)...

Known issues:

- The elevators are bad with high ping
- a door that doesn't work the way it should
- poor layout :P

Keep in mind that this map is a beta,
but don't expect a final version right away since I'm out of ideas, time and beer

Great map Spawn, it's fun to lock Cate in the thanks room :D
On a side note, there seems to be an overlapping floor texture in the thanks room (Cate found it).

Thanks for the info!
thought I had fixed the ladders, but I'll have a look again :)

Yeah, I also noticed the overlapping brush in the middle of the 'secret' room :P
The door there doesn't work exactly how i wanted it to.

and Lla! Sure I'd love to hear any ideas :thumb:

:) Don't know if I can bring you much but i'll do it with pleasure.

When i tryed mapping I understood (without surprise) that it'll take some time before getting some non-pityfull results and I can't afford the time to learn for the moment.
So what I am thinking of (very genuinely) would be a William (MC?) Escher that is both an upside-down world and Escher's patterns as textures.

I'll join some pictures....

http://www.mcescher.com/home/homeuk.htm#

Of course you know his work.

The basic concept would be to take advantage of the maps' limitation which might be kind of "disadvantage" to "reverse" the process and turn it into a "closed world" conceivent as non finishing...

 I wander if I can make myself understandable
