That's still one of my all time favorites despite it's age and bugs. One of the things in this game that stands out ahead of other first person shooters even todays games is that there is more than one way to tackle most situations. In other words it didn't feel as much like the herded cow affect as even HL2 does.Coty wrote: I haven't finished Tron yet either.
I did go back and buy the Half-Life 5 package for 15 dollars though. I don't like it. I bought it mostly thinking I would get some good creature animations from it. The game itself sucks in my opinion. I don't know what all the hype about HL was about. The models look like crap.
The models were great for the day but it pre-dates even NOLF1. They did release a version of Opposing Force with Blue Shift that had higher poly count models but I don't remember the same for Half-Life.
To get the real feel of HL you need to play in the dark with the sound cranked way up. I know I threw the keyboard and mouse a couple times when the headcrabs jumped out. Not to mention how many times I accidently shot Barney when he popped out around the corner.
