I don't have those exact LTB models anymore, but the ones that I did convert to X imported just fine in Fragmotion, mView, Biturn, and GameSpaceLight. There are several different versions of the X format including binary and ascii... TrueSpace 4.3 didn't import the LTB2X X file, so I would thnk that...

It sounds like the Cate you are using doesn't have, or can't import the animations. This is probably caused by Cate not having the same skeleton as whatever child you are trying to add to her. Usually cinematic characters have extra face bones for close-up expressions. Or it could be something like ...

Look at that first mission in CJ where Jack is tied up. He is tied down to the chair and wakes up while the thugs are talking. I believe the cinematic for the camera is something like 'fade in.'
